Emergency health information

Emergency medical care is entirely a priority of the state. Private health insurance does not provide cover for emergency services. 

Emergency medical care services Include all medical activities aimed at recovering from acute life-threatening disorders, e.g. severe injuries, heart attacks, strokes, burns, poisonings, fractures, etc. In such cases, contactimmediately the National Emergency Number 112.

A substantial number of patients is self-referred, but does not need emergency care. Those that are not considered to be in an emergencyafter the examination in the Emergency Department (and are referred for home treatment or planned hospitalization), will be charged for the emergency examination and treatment (examinations, tests, manipulations, etc.), which are performed at their diagnosis, incl. the cost of the blood sampling manipulation for testing.
